New Book Available!

Hello! Just a quickie for those who don't follow MoeGamer or support me on Patreon, the latter of which is the new home of my #oneaday ramblings.

I've put a new book out! It's a properly formatted version of one of the stories I wrote for sort-of-but-not-quite NaNoWriMo a few years back, so it's not brand new — but for those of you who were interested in having an actual copy of one of my stories that you can enjoy at your leisure… now you can.

The book is available from Blurb's bookstore in either paperback or PDF (ebook) format.

The story is loosely based on my own experiences in the classroom — though with a large amount of dramatic license — and, looking back on it some six years or so after I originally wrote it, it's a good reflection of how that ordeal made me feel and thus quite personally important to me.

I don't make a ton of profit on each one — such is the nature of self-publishing — but every little helps, and said profits help me continue to do what I love: write! So thank you in advance if you happen to buy a copy — I'm planning on putting together my other not-NaNoWriMo stories into books in the same way, so please keep an eye out for those.

Pick up your copy of Special Measures here. And be sure to stop by Patreon if you want to sign up for daily #oneaday posts while helping support my other work on the Web!

  1. Message: Well done Pete. I am proud of you for finally putting some of your great pieces of writing into print. Keep going. Some of the 'short stories' could go into one volume as they have similar SCIFI/Surreal themes. Love them. If you add some creepy illustrations too that would be good. If you can't do them yourself (which I doubt) then I'd be happy to try doing some for you. And that is not an ulterior motive for my praise. And while I'm on the subject of more books – please take courage and if you can manage it technically, get your comic strip into book form. You had them oneaday – that means there are hundreds of them. And they were all really funny. And the reader didn't need to know the people they were based on – they were characters in their own right. If you think there are too many for a book – then don't edit, just add another volume or 2 or 3. [?] If I can manage to work out how to get it through the site I'd really like to have a hard copy. Love to you, Andie, menagerie, and your parents. Jud

I put this message on your website as I thought it would reach you that way – then realised that as you'd sent me an email I could just reply to that. Hope it doesn't embarrass you on your site – it shouldn't. It might even get you a few more people adding to the sentiments especially about publishing.

    Stay well and productive.

    Always,

    1. No embarrassment here, don't worry — you know how much I put myself out here anyway! 🙂 Thanks for the kind words, and I'll keep you in mind for any illustrated projects!
