I changed my theme. EXCITEMENT. I've been using the WordPress "Twenty Ten" theme until now but I thought I'd see what the newer "Twenty Twelve" looked like. Pretty similar, as it happens, albeit with a bit of extra white space and borders around images. It also makes these brief "aside" posts stand out a bit better. Let me know what you think.

I was going to try the Twenty Twelve because I thought it might give me better writing tools, but when I previewed it, all the stuff down the right side bar disappeared – unlike yours – so I decided against it. So now I am wondering if you had to reset it all up, or if, once you had activated it, then your header and side-bar lists were automatically restored? I don't want to lose all those on my site. But like you think it's time for an update. What do you suggest?
Yeah, the live preview of Twenty Twelve doesn't include a sidebar, but if you already have widgets set up then it just transfers them across with no problem. Only thing I had to really "change" was the header image, which is a bit larger in this theme.
I liked the old one better… it was neater and more spacious. I think the stuff in the sidebar to the right is too tight together (not enough white space in between some of the elements). And I don't like the red title in top, or the abruptly graded blue margins.
Otherwise it looks nice.
There we go, fixed! I'm keeping the blue margins, though, as they were there on the old one and they're a subtle reference to an ancient computer game I like. 🙂
Yep, that is better!
(wow, that was a quick fix!)
Its alright I guess, but why have you posted a video of a guy diving into a swimming pool?
