All great points. All throughout the past year I've called this the "internet election," because everything that went on was only possible due to the way that internet social circles, and the internet media conveyed things. We've elected an actual walking talking meme as opposed to an experienced, albeit troubled policymaker. The choice is telling in this day and age. And descarte25 is spot on about the growing wave an anti-intellectualism. America will survive what just happened, but I no longer feel welcome in my own nation, which is no way for a person to feel. I don't suppose you have a basement and an air mattress? . . . I'll bring all my games with me :-D

While I'm never keen to tell anyone how to feel. I'm also not going to mince words to spare their feelings. If someone says something racist, I'll call them a racist. If they say something homophobic, I'll call them a homophobe. If that makes me PC, then so be it. PC works in both directions, people on both sides don't want to be confronted about their opinions. But the anti-intellectualism wave in American politics and popular culture will still continue long after this. So I'm not going to say much more about it, it is what it is, and I can only be the best person I can be. :)
