But, as I consider the full Witcher 3 with both expansions to be one of my favorite games of all time, I usually will side with it on which experience I prefer. One thing that makes it not very Western of an RPG, however, is how well written everything is. Every quest drips with personality and good writing, and some of them are in the running for my favorite quests ever. Some of the isolation is no doubt the size of the world, but even in the large cities you will feel a bit isolated. But that is intentional, he's basically Batman. And even amongst his Witcher compatriots, he's always been apart, as the White Wolf.

Not to the extent that the gaming public at-large does, but I do really love the series. I can't wait for the inevitable "complete" edition of 3 to come out.
