But yeah, much like in real-life relationships, sexiness can draw people in, but in order to keep them around you need to be someone who they'd like even if you didn't have that. I'd wager that the overwhelming majority of the fanbase for series like Senran Kagura and Neptunia would still like them even if the fanservice had never existed in the first place. Meanwhile, game/anime series that have tits and not much else tend to have much shorter legs.
