I too know that great feeling when what you teach triggers a light-bulb moment for a student or students. That is the reward for the rest of the crap you have to deal with. So continue to teach piano /music privately. Perhaps even teach composition and the use of computer technology to help with recording etc. Teach one-on-one – this allows you the pleasure without the pain as you are not out-numbered. And creative write and get your great works published Pete. 😀
