I stopped a few years ago too, and send an email with letter attached so they can either read it or not. That way I'm saving the trees (I hope), plus my wrist from an attack of RSI, plus eliminate a whole swathe of people I haven't seen for decades who probably don't give a shit but send cards back as an obligation. So do your own thing Pete, relax and don't send out cards. As for the people you see regularly they know you like them and think of them, and don't need a 'piece of cardboard' to tell them so. Have an enjoyable Xmas – that is better than a wonderful Xmas, because it stretches out more evenly over the day rather than a big rush followed by anti-climax and hours of boredom, bloating, and banality.
