It's a shame that some of your friends are reticent to play co-op dungeon crawlers. That's pretty much all I wanna play when it comes to gaming (be it video or board). I don't really have much of a competitive streak - so games that require me to try and out-do someone with strategy or skill, or whatever are usually a bad time for me. I'd much rather work together. My lack of a competitive drive probably accounts for a great deal of lack of success in life - but that's just speculation. As we mentioned the other day, I've had my eye on Super Dungeon Explore for a long time.

Oh, and it has a campaign mode where players draft new equipment and upgrades between adventures.
Oh, and it's got a wonderfully fast and simple system with plenty of luck to keep it tense and plenty of tactics to make you feel great about that clever move you just made.
Oh, and the quest system and level design ensures that everybody has a good reason to go after everybody else, but nobody has a good reason to pick on the same players over and over again.

I realize it's dangerous to recommend awesome games to people who already have more awesome games than they can realistically play, but…

Arcadia Quest will be at retail soon. Wonderful chibi-style miniatures of orcs and goblins and adventurers and such. No GM required. A mix of PvP and PvE play. Each player has a guild, consisting of three adventurers, and these guilds are fighting to take back the city of Arcadia from the monsters who have taken it over. Unfortunately, the guilds can't agree on whose fault it was that the monsters took over in the first place, so they're busy fighting each other as well as the monsters.

It's awesome and I want to play it RIGHT NOW.
