In reply to judsgamereviews. No, it's about ten minutes drive away, so it won't be too much hassle to move straggly bits over if necessary. We just want to get as much stuff as possible done for when the removal people get here. If we're hiring people to do the heavy lifting for us we'd better make sure there's plenty of things for them to lift!

All the things you said are all the things I LOVE about moving. Turn it around Pete - it's really exciting. And you 'find' things you haven't seen for ages which you can exclaim over then either keep or chuck out. The whole process lifts a weight off your shoulders, and though you get physically tired, the anticipation increases the closer you are to the last box. So your spirit lifts. Make it work for you - relax and enjoy it - chuck out stuff and work your way through room by room. All the things that won't fit in the right box shove in a plastic bag and put it in your car to take with you. Lay all your clothes on their hangers on the back seat, drive round to the new place, take them inside in armfuls and hang up at once. You can then say "We're in!!" Is the new house far from your existing place? Have a great time, put the music on, and dive in. So happy for you. :D
