My wife's enthusiasm for it eventually won me over – and the Jim and Pam dynamic had to reach a certain point before I could stomach it. Fun fact, I only live about two and half hours South of Scranton, where the show is supposed to take place. I've been there on many occasions. An old friend of mine used to go to the The Office festival that they hold there. I'm "Pennsylvania Dutch" just like Dwight – so there's loads of great cultural in-humor in that show for people who live in my region. It's super cool. My wife, who is Canadian, is always like "is that true?" when Dwight says or does something outlandish regarding Pennsylvania German farming culture, and it almost always is. Those guys did their homework.
