The best is the accessory you get later on that makes the judgment ring appear blank but also increases damage by a ton. It becomes a weird rhythm game at that point.

I loved shadow hearts. The first game is pretty brilliant but the second is a masterpiece in complete utter lunacy and all the better for it. Just embrace the utter madness of the whole damn thing.

Did almost have a few controller/window incidents with that bloody judgement ring though. Board them up now as a precaution if you're as bad as me.

I disagree that Covenant is "much better," but it is certainly an enjoyable game. They're different, and they're both good. You'll know when you're halfway through. Trust me... You 'll know...

What did you think of that fully voiced story from the old sea woman? =D Kinda amazing they decided to put so much into that bit.

I actually never completed the first game, like most rpg's I seem to get tothe end but never finish. The second game Covenant is much better and played through a bunch, its a good laugh aswell.
