Yes! Hit me. I'm done with fantasy and sci-fi for the immediate future — I'll return at some point, but I'm not in the mood for that right now. What I'm looking for are some good crime novels, novels about interesting relationships/living situations (such as the one I described here) or strong character-based works (think Douglas Coupland, Armistead Maupin et al — works where stuff doesn't necessarily "happen" but the characters are interesting), that sort of thing.
