Ahhh. It sounds you must have approached the town southbound on the A336 Twyford Road – things do get rather tight with parked cars in front of the parade of shops. Mind you the A335 Bishopstoke Rd is narrow over the bridges. Come to think of it Southampton Road is tight too..and um, so is Leigh Road.
OK. You are right. It's a total nightmare.
But don't worry. Eastleigh Borough Council have the solution. Don't come by car.
There is no free parking in the Town Centre. Residents pay up to £300 p.a to park outside their own homes and they're building the worlds first Motel without a car park.
But we do have an international airport so you can fly in or walk..or cycle.
Be careful though – what with the narrow roads and all that traffic!
