When I was a freshman in university, I took an interesting English class that always started with five minutes of free writing. The professor would read them after class and read the one he liked the most the next day. On more than one occasion, he picked mine. With that little bit of motivation, I was off and running.

I'm actually planning on putting my free writing skills to the test by doing some on the fly, off the cuff pulp fiction stories. A fun little way to spread my wings, get away from the constant game blogging I do.

Oh, and I always found the concluding paragraph to be the hardest part of any essay.
